The English Alphabet (अंग्रेज़ी वर्णमाला)

There are 26 letters in English.

(अंग्रेज़ी में 26 अक्षर होते हैं।)

इनमें से — 5 vowels (स्वर) होते हैं और 21 consonants (व्यंजन) होते हैं।

Vowels are sounds that come out smoothly, without stopping the air.

(स्वर वे ध्वनियाँ हैं जो मुँह से बिना रुकावट के निकलती हैं।)

There are 5 vowels:

👉 A, E, I, O, U

A – apple (सेब)

E – egg (अंडा)

I – ink (स्याही)

O – orange (संतरा)

U – umbrella (छाता)

These letters make the voice sound open and clear.

(ये आवाज़ को खुला और साफ़ बनाते हैं।)

Consonants are all the other letters except vowels.

(स्वरों को छोड़कर बाकी सभी अक्षर व्यंजन कहलाते हैं।)

There are 21 consonants in English.

(अंग्रेज़ी में 21 व्यंजन होते हैं।)

We pronounce consonants using the tongue, teeth, or lips.

(व्यंजन बोलने में जीभ, दांत या होंठ का इस्तेमाल होता है।)
