 1. THIS (यह)

We use “This” for something near us.

(हम “This” का प्रयोग पास की चीज़ों के लिए करते हैं।)

Examples:

This is an elephant. It is black.

(यह एक हाथी है। यह काला है।)

This is a pen. It is blue.

(यह एक पेन है। यह नीला है।)

This is a chair. It is black.

(यह एक कुर्सी है। यह काली है।)

2. THAT (वह)

We use “That” for something far from us.

(हम “That” का प्रयोग दूर की चीज़ों के लिए करते हैं।)

Examples:

That is a house. It is big.

(वह एक घर है। वह बड़ा है।)

That is a car. It is red.

(वह एक कार है। वह लाल है।)

That is a tree. It is tall.

(वह एक पेड़ है। वह ऊँचा है।)

Some Sentences

This is my book. (यह मेरी किताब है।)
